This is, naturally, the first thing most clients want to know. The answer is... it depends. A basic site generally starts around $4,000. But every website is different. It would be impossible to have a standard fixed price for every site. Anyone who does is planning to just drop your content into a standard template and not give any thought to your brand, message, strategy or goals. To be honest, that's all some people need. But it's not what we do. Because in our experience, we've found that this sort of 'solution' doesn't really solve the client's needs. Very often, they come back to Metaglyphics after they've learned their generic site isn't much better than not having a site at all. We'd love to save you that time and money on a site you may outgrow before it even launches.

Once again, it depends. The size and complexity of your site and the content you'll be putting online all help determine the timeline. A basic website typically takes about four weeks from beginning to launch. More complex sites can take several months.

If you have a larger site, we can work with you to determine a timeline based on your features. Or we can work backwards from a required launch date to determine what features we have time for.

As for hosting, we are not a hosting company, but we work with several partners who are, and we can help get you set up with them. If you have your own host, we can work with them. In those cases, we'll evaluate the host to make sure they are a good match for your requirements.

A CMS allows you to add and update pages, images, products or blog entries. Our tools are completely browser based - you simply log into the website to manage your site.

Absolutely!  Most projects involve at least a little bit of editing and massaging content to work better on your site. We can schedule a content strategy session to work with you to help refine your message and present your content in the best possible way.

If you need more extensive copywriting, we can connect you with someone who can help. That would require a separate engagement with that writer, and is not part of the web development contract.
